Nearly 10 years ago, I began supporting people experiencing homelessness by doing something simple yet meaningful: sitting with them, buying them coffee, and listening to their stories. I quickly realised how often they are ignored—treated as though they are invisible, looking in at society from the peripherals.

These moments taught me the power of acknowledgment and how a small act of kindness can make someone feel seen and valued. Inspired by these experiences, I focused on practical solutions that make a tangible difference. Through my experience, I’ve seen how something as simple as clean socks can improve health and restore dignity for rough sleepers.

I founded Streetsocks to meet this critical need and rally communities around a straightforward yet impactful cause. My goal is to bring awareness, inspire action, and create lasting change for those experiencing homelessness. Socks may seem small, but they can make a world of difference by preventing illness, providing warmth, and restoring dignity.

Together, we can tackle this challenge, one small step at a time.
